Application and Instructions
Interior Emulsions
Before applying Interior Emulsions make sure that all the dust, dirt and any other types of foreign materials are removed. Besides that, make the surfaces free from all sorts of salts, oil, grease and ridges. If you desire better results then always apply two coats of Nebulon Wall Putty followed by Nebulon water Primer then apply Acrylic Distemper of your Choice.
Whenever you are applying Interior emulsions to old surfaces, make sure the substrate is firm. Otherwise, first, wash the surface with sugar soap solution and then rinse the surface well. Allow it to dry completely before you repair and apply the primer on the surface. Whereas in the case of new plaster surfaces allow it to mature for at least six months. You should remove the loose particles present on the plaster by rubbing it lightly with sandpaper.
Thus, for better application of Interior Emulsions, you should always remove the previous
coatings or lime wash, colour wash and power distemper. In the case of repainting, there’s no need to remove earlier coatings of oil-bound distemper or emulsion-based paints, only if they are in the right condition. For the best results, it’s recommended that you remove such coatings by sanding.
Nebulon Acrylic Distemper offers the best results on such walls that are previously painted using oil-based paints, glossy, semi-glossy, and lustrous paints until the coatings are scrapped off completely. Moreover, while applying the finish coat of Nebulon Acrylic Distemper, make sure that the Nebulon Primer Water thinnable is used and left for drying overnight and after that proper sanding is done on it.
